SWENET Release 3.08

The multitude of statistical plots on the Index Quality Statistics page is now better represented by a folding function ("compact view" vs. "full view").

An introductory section was added on the concepts used within the page; some Wikipedia links are provided in order to ease the understanding.

Smoothed monthly sunspot data from BINCASTS are now included in the database. [browse]

DRX importers have been extended to include 1-day to 27-day forecasts of DRX, class, F10.7, Ap.

The DIAS service was integrated into SWENET with a service page, data import, and an entry on the Lastest Data Page. Data include:

• foF2 map over Europe [browse]
• Daily sunspot numbers [browse]

After confirmation with the service provider, the GAFS service was deactivated. The service page and historical database data remain, and all descriptions now have a note that the service is considered closed.

The final data package from the Ionosfera project has been imported into the database (89.000 rows from 2000 previously) [browse]. The table format has been expanded to accomodate additional table columns.

An introduction page for amateur radio concepts was written and added.

ISGI is now presented on the Latest Data Page, although integration is not fully finished (full integration is expected to be a long term effort).

Currently, Aa and Am are accessible. Dst, Kp and possibly further indices are to be integrated in the future.

Additional SIDC data has been added to the database (previously, there were already 7 reports imported):

• The Presto report has been added. [browse]
• The Ursigram report is parsed and its values are available as data table. [browse]
• Sunspot number importer issues were clarified; there are now estimated, provisional and definitive SSNs (EISN, PISN, DISN). [browse]

SWACI, successor of SWIPPA, is now fully represented with a Service Page and corresponding descriptions within the Look for Services facility.

As soon as data products are integrated into SWENET (a TEC index is in the planning), the Latest Data Page will reflect this.

Upon request by service provider INAF, the TSRS forecasts were removed from the Index Quality Statistics. The current forecasts methods will be refined in a future iteration, and then TSRS will take part in the IQS again.

The Java webservice demo client has been adapted to internal changes to the webapp. This was necessary because the client generates WSDL information from a Java interface class.

A web administration interface for space weather database table properties was introduced. This makes overview and communication with data providers easier; it also makes managing table properties easier.

BINCASTS Aa index data was not correctly interpreted on the Index Quality Statistics page. This has been fixed.

Change-of-year issues with sec_ugeo_*, sec_event, sec_dsd_97, sec_dregion were repaired.

Kyoto Dst data importers have been extended to include definitive Dst; also, the parsers were adapted to a server name change at WDC Kyoto.

Changed SEC servers to SWPC servers for all pertinent data tables.

Some instruments on the GOES-10 satellite have been deactivated; this is now reflected in the data table comments.

ACE plot importers were broken due to changes at SWPC; have been repaired.

Mt. Wilson observatory data importers were broken due to changes at the data provider; have been repaired.

DIFS and SIDC reports are now included into the parser framework; this means that metadata (how many reports, min/max date, time of insertion into database, etc.) are now available.
