Feature and Function Upgrades

The Index Quality Page has been improved.

  • Skill index plot has been added (skill index value available since 3.06).

The page provides the user with information about the the quality of specific forecasts to space weather indices.

Mailform Page

Handling of sender email addresses and, in case of mails to the SWEN newsletter editors, names, is now handled stricter. The default subject line has also been improved.

SDA Integration

SDA Description Status / Comments
ASAP

The ASAP SDA has been added:

  • Sunspot group images [browse]
  • Data to sunspot groups containing position, size, etc. [browse]
  • SDA description page is available through the right sidebar
  • ASAP sunspot groups have been added to the Latest Data page.

ISGI

The Aa index now has definitive values up until end of 2008 (and provisional from there on; quicklook remains unaffected). [browse]

Dst, Kp and possibly further indices are to be integrated in the future.

A note requiring regular webservice users to notify the SWENET team has been added. With this information, we can increase the development priority on web services.

Data importer status monitoring has been improved. In the monitor section, developer comments are available on the status of data parsers and data tables.

Session id cleanup procedure was streamlined and a bug was fixed: Previously, after 1-hour intervals, logins could fail sporadically due to overzealous cleanup.
