The Department of Physics University of HelsinkiIn 1997 the Department of Physics founded a Professorship in Space Physics. This is a joint Professorship and research is undertaken in collaboration with the Finnish space research group, the Geophysical Research Division of the Finnish Meteorological Institute [above]. Research centres on space plasma physics and Sun-Earth connections including the specific topic of space weather.
