Monitoring the space environment continuosly and being able to forecast unwanted events is the ultimate goal of a Space Weather forecasting center. This will require real-time data, but also advanced models that are based on the data input.

• Solar Corona, Solar Wind Structure and Solar Particle Events
• Magnetosphere MHD Models and Kinetic Models including Substorms and Radiation Belts (UCLA model, Salammbo, FMI model)
• Ionospheric Models including the Auroral Environment
• Analogue Models, Filters and Neural Networks in Solar-Terrestrial Physics
• Experimental Models of Effects Simulation
