Announcement:
The Space Weather Working Team meeting will take place during the forthcoming European Space Weather Week in Brussels. The SWWT meeting is scheduled in the middle of the meeting: on the Wednesday evening (19 Nov) from 18:30 to 20:00. A key item for this meeting will be to discuss the plans for a space weather element in the proposed ESA programme on Space Situational Awareness and identify existing resources that could potentially contribute to that programme. The meeting will also discuss nominations for the next Chair of SWWT. Mike Hapgood, the present Chair will step down at the spring SWWT meeting in 2009. A full meeting agenda will be circulated nearer the date.

Please be informed that on 18th July 2008, Release 3.05 of SWENET has been deployed. This is a maintenance release with several functionality updates and bug fixes.

The deadline for proposing a splinter meeting for ESWW5 is today. If you would like to organise a splinter meeting on a particular topic and have not yet informed Anna Belehaki or Alexi Glover, please get in contact today. We have so far received a good response to the call, but there are still a few spaces open for topical meetings.
